These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of HalfFlix (“we”, “us”, “our”)—a digital platform that enables creators to upload content and monetize it based on eligibility. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and applicable laws of Pakistan.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering, accessing, or using the platform, you agree to:

  • Monetization Guidelines
  • Community Standards

If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. User Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older, or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Use of this platform is limited to individuals or businesses legally residing in Pakistan, unless otherwise allowed.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account
  • Be fully responsible for any activity conducted through your account
  • Ensure your content complies with local and international copyright laws
  • Abide by all applicable laws in Pakistan including PECA 2016 and upcoming Personal Data Protection Bill (PDPB)

You may not:

  • Post or distribute illegal, obscene, hateful, or abusive content
  • Use the platform for spamming, phishing, or fraudulent purposes
  • Infringe upon others’ intellectual property
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others

4. Content Upload and Ownership

  • You retain ownership of your content.
  • By uploading, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, display, distribute, and promote your content on our platform.
  • We may promote, feature, or modify content for technical reasons (e.g., encoding, compression) or marketing purposes.

5. Monetization and Earnings

  • You may become eligible for monetization based on our Monetization Policy, which may include thresholds for views, content quality, and compliance.
  • Revenue share details, payout terms, and eligibility will be defined in your Creator Dashboard.
  • You are responsible for any income tax filing as required by FBR.

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend monetization for policy violations
  • Adjust monetization rules with prior notice

6. Intellectual Property

  • All platform branding, layout, and features are our intellectual property.
  • Unauthorized use of our logo, interface, or software is strictly prohibited.

7. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform if:

  • You violate these Terms or community guidelines
  • You misuse the monetization system
  • You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activities

You may also close your account voluntarily at any time.

8. Disclaimers

  • We do not guarantee that content will be featured, monetized, or reach any specific audience.
  • We are not liable for losses, damages, or revenue disruptions resulting from the use of our services.
  • We do not endorse the opinions expressed by users on the platform.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Insert City, e.g., Karachi or Lahore].

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
